As a Reablement Care Assistant, you will visit clients daily and empower them to regain independence.
Responsibilities
Encourage clients to try tasks on their own, building confidence.
Assist with mobility and physiotherapy activities, including transfers, walking and prescribed exercises.
Support clients in preparing meals and maintaining nutrition.
Prompt and guide clients to manage their medication safely.
Help clients relearn housekeeping tasks such as light cleaning and laundry.
Monitor health, noting progress and reporting setbacks.
Facilitate social inclusion, encouraging clients to re‑engage with their community.
Document milestones to track progress toward independence.
Ensure transport by maintaining a full UK driving licence and access to a private vehicle.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of 6 months social care experience.
Strong compassion and a caring attitude.
Excellent communication skills.
Problem‑solving abilities.
Commitment to delivering high‑quality, respectful care.
Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship offered).
Full UK driving licence and private vehicle for travel between clients.
Locations
Dacorum District (Hemel Hempstead, Tring, Berkhamsted, surrounding villages).
Hertford & Ware (SG12, SG13, SG14).
Pay & Hours
£14.20 per hour – Monday to Friday.
£16.00 per hour – Saturday and Sunday.
30 pence per mile for travel.
Guaranteed hours available for the right candidates.
Shifts: 7 days a week – Day: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM; Evening: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
