People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Daventry, Northamptonshire.
n

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Delivery Driver or Pallet Network Driver.

• Tuesday to Friday
n • 05:00 fixed start time
n
Rates of Pay
n
• £15.55 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
n
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:
n
• Completing multi-drop deliveries
n • Unloading deliveries by hand or using a pump truck
n • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
n • Carrying out pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections
n • Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly before transportation
n • Adhering to road traffic laws, company procedures and delivery schedules
n • Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers
n • Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues promptly
n
Essential Skills
n
To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
n
• A valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
n • A minimum of two years' Class 2 driving experience
n • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
n • No major endorsement codes
n • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
n • Good spoken and written English
n • Excellent timekeeping and reliability
n • A good understanding of road traffic laws and driver regulations
n
Desirable Experience
n
• Previous commercial driving experience
n • Multi-drop delivery experience
n
Training Provided
n
• Industry-related training provided
n • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
n
