The Opportunity

You’ll lead the FP&A function for a high-volume personal lines business, shaping key decisions across pricing, portfolio strategy, and investment. Alongside delivering best-in-class planning and forecasting, you’ll build and evolve a high-performing FP&A team and operating model.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Performance

- Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning cycles
- Analyse key drivers including pricing, retention, claims trends, and cost dynamics
- Provide insight into loss ratio, expense ratio, and overall underwriting performance
- Support strategic trade-offs between growth, retention, and profitability

Executive Partnering

- Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO, CEO, and Executive team
- Deliver clear, forward-looking insight to support business strategy
- Lead performance reporting across weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycles

- Enhance FP&A models, dashboards, and forecasting tools
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across finance and operations

What We’re Looking For

- nt
- Proven FP&A leadership experience within an insurance carrier (essential)
- Strong understanding of personal lines insurance economics (motor highly desirable)
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders with clear, data-driven insight
- Advanced modelling and scenario analysis capability
- Track record of building and scaling FP&A functions and teams
- Professionally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
