The Role: Mainframe Operator
Location: Lisbon
Work Model: hybrid – 2/3 days a week in the office
Sector: Financial Services

✅ Eligibility: Currently living in Portugal and be legally authorized to work there
Mandatory Requirements (Non‑Negotiable)
- Provide z/OS Level 2 support, including batch processing and operational supervision.
- Strong background in batch processing and operational supervision.
- Hands‑on experience with TWS / Control‑M.
- Experience in real‑time monitoring and production incident handling.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure operational stability and availability of z/OS production environments
- Monitor and control batch jobs using TWS / Control‑M and real‑time monitoring tools.
- Manage incidents such as abends, SLA breaches, dependency failures, and perform recovery actions.
- Administer and intervene on system resources: disk space, JES queues, catalogs, GDGs, and datasets.
- Act as technical integrator, coordinating with Project Managers / ScrumOps during solution delivery.
- Ensure alignment with DevOps best practices (automation, security, observability).
- Produce operational documentation and reporting.
