About the Unit
Markus Ward is an 8‑bed, private patient medical oncology unit specializing in inpatient chemotherapy and the management of cancer‑related symptoms.

We pride ourselves on offering personalised care to patients at all stages of their cancer journey.

Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to provide high‑quality, patient care within the team.

Responsibilities

Carry out nursing care for patients in collaboration with the shift co‑ordinator.

Monitor and record patients’ vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation) and report any abnormal results to registered nursing staff.

Perform venepuncture and cannulation after training and assessment of competency.

Demonstrate understanding of infection control issues, attend mandatory training and apply policies and procedures in practice.

Assist nursing and medical staff with delegated clinical procedures.

Promote a safe clinical environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Assist with local or Trust initiatives to improve quality of services and safeguard high standards of care.

Qualifications & Requirements
Experienced Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker, with competence in basic nursing tasks, venepuncture, infection control and teamwork.
